My name is Emily, and I initially joined Wake’s Biomedical Sciences Master’s program before switching over to the Neuroscience program and receiving my Master’s degree. I wrote my Master’s thesis on Millisecond Time Perception in Parkinson’s Disease Patients, and I am interested in better understanding the role that dopamine plays in the cognitive processes associated with the disorder. I am currently pursuing my PhD, with a future interest in attending medical school to continue to study and learn how to treat brain-related illnesses. In my free time, you’ll often find me listening to music or running over at Salem Lake.
